Skin Flap Model

 

  • Lappenplastikmodell
  • In cooperation with the university hospitals in Jena, Ulm and the company 3di GmbH a training model was developed for skin flap plastics in the face.
  • Characteristics

    ·    the skin flap model is an artificial replication
         of human skin structures
    ·    it consists of a baseplate and a silicone layer
         which simulates the human skin (5 -10mm)
         with gauze inserts to improve the stability
         during the sewing process
  • Application

    ·    practice of basic suture techniques
    ·    practice of complex skin reconstructions in the
         facial area
    ·    simulation of operations

Rhinoplasty Model

  • Rhinoplastikmodell
  • The Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Jena University Hospital, the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Ulm University Medical Center, and the company 3di GmbH developed an artificial model of the human nose that permits surgical training of functional and aesthetic operations and surgical reconstructions in the area of the cartilaginous nose.
  • Characteristics

    ·    the Rhinoplasty Model represents an artificial reproduction
         of the human nose including bone, cartilage and skin
    ·    it consists of a base plate and a coating of silicone
         (5 -10 mm), which simulates the human facial skin and
         the cartilaginous parts of the nose with a transition zone
         to the nasal bones
  • Application

    ·    training of complex functional and aesthetic operations and
         surgical reconstructions in the area of the cartilaginous
         parts of the nose, e.g. preparation of the lower lateral
         cartilage, removal of a cartilaginous hump or a
         cartilage graft

Lip Model

  • The Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Jena University Hospital, the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Ulm University Medical Center, and the company 3di GmbH developed an artificial model of the human lips that permits surgical training of complex operations and surgical reconstructions in the area of the lips.
  • Characteristics

    ·    the Lip Model represents an artificial
         reproduction of the human upper lip
         and lower lip
    ·    measure accurate effigy of the lip area
         and the lip vermilion
    ·    it consists of a base plate and a coating
         of silicone, which simulates the human
         facial skin (5-10 mm) and lips
    ·    the model includes a gauze layer for a
         better sewability
  • Application

    ·   training of complex operations and surgical
        reconstructions in the area of the lips, e.g.,
        defect closure or flap plasty after the
        tumor excision

Auricle Model

 

  • Cavum Anthelix
  • In cooperation with the university hospitals in Jena, Ulm and the company 3di GmbH a training model for auricle plastics was developed.
  • Characteristics 

    ·    the Auricle Models consists of a base plate and a
         silicone layer which simulates the human auricle
    ·    the base plate can be laminated again
         with new silicone layers
  • Auricle Model – Anthelix

    ·    the Auricle Model – Anthelix is an artificial replication
         of grade 1 auricle dysplasia with a missing Anthelix

    ·    practice for shaping the Anthelix
         with pure suture technique
    ·    practice of stitches to create the shape of an ear

    Auricle Model - Cavum

    ·    the Auricle Model – Cavum is an artificial replication
         of grade 1 auricle dysplasia with concha hyperplasia

    ·    practice of Cavum resection
    ·    practice of the suture technique for cartilage adaption

  • The Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Jena University Hospital and the company 3di GmbH developed an individualised hard- and soft-tissue-model for simulation the surgical result.
  • Characteristics

    ·    preoperative visualization of the result
    ·    true-to-live and detailed simulation and
         representation of the covering soft-tissue
         in the operating field
    ·    realisation of an optimal cosmetically result
    ·    correction of defective postions
  • Hard-Tissue-Models

    ·    typical applications: op-planning in the area of
         the mandibula, maxilla and the orbita
    ·    models are workable on, can be separated and
         repositioned


    Combined Soft-and Hard-Tissue-Models

    ·    extraction of skin surface and bone
         from CT-data
    ·    simulation of the patients post-operative
         appearance on the real model with
         implant model
