- In cooperation with the university hospitals in Jena, Ulm and the company 3di GmbH different training models were developed for the face and head area.
Our soft tissue models can be used for the op-planning, to practice complex surgeries and reconstructions, for training
or different courses of instruction.

- In cooperation with the university hospitals in Jena, Ulm and the company 3di GmbH a training model was developed for skin flap plastics in the face.
- Characteristics
· the skin flap model is an artificial replication
of human skin structures
· it consists of a baseplate and a silicone layer
which simulates the human skin (5 -10mm)
with gauze inserts to improve the stability
during the sewing process - Application
· practice of basic suture techniques
· practice of complex skin reconstructions in the
facial area
· simulation of operations

- The Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Jena University Hospital, the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Ulm University Medical Center, and the company 3di GmbH developed an artificial model of the human nose that permits surgical training of functional and aesthetic operations and surgical reconstructions in the area of the cartilaginous nose.
- Characteristics
· the Rhinoplasty Model represents an artificial reproduction
of the human nose including bone, cartilage and skin
· it consists of a base plate and a coating of silicone
(5 -10 mm), which simulates the human facial skin and
the cartilaginous parts of the nose with a transition zone
to the nasal bones - Application
· training of complex functional and aesthetic operations and
surgical reconstructions in the area of the cartilaginous
parts of the nose, e.g. preparation of the lower lateral
cartilage, removal of a cartilaginous hump or a
cartilage graft

- Characteristics
· the Auricle Models consists of a base plate and a
silicone layer which simulates the human auricle
· the base plate can be laminated again
with new silicone layers - Auricle Model – Anthelix
· the Auricle Model – Anthelix is an artificial replication
of grade 1 auricle dysplasia with a missing Anthelix
· practice for shaping the Anthelix
with pure suture technique
· practice of stitches to create the shape of an ear
Auricle Model - Cavum
· the Auricle Model – Cavum is an artificial replication
of grade 1 auricle dysplasia with concha hyperplasia
· practice of Cavum resection
· practice of the suture technique for cartilage adaption
